Privacy Policy
Last updated September 11, 2026
Zignites (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use zignites.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. When you submit our contact form or subscribe to updates, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We also collect analytics data about how the site is used — the pages visited, your general location, and a recording of how the page was interacted with — which is described in Analytics and session recording below.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To send updates you have subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To improve our website, content, and services.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Analytics and session recording
The public pages of this site use two analytics tools. Google Analytics 4 counts page views and reports the general location and device a visit came from. Microsoft Clarity records how a page is used — pointer movement, clicks, scrolling, and the layout of the page as it was displayed to you — and aggregates those into heatmaps and session replays. We use both to find pages that are slow, confusing, or broken. Neither is used to identify you, and we make no attempt to connect a recording to a named person.
Anything you type into a form is not recorded. Clarity masks the contents of input boxes and drop-down menus in all of its modes, and that masking happens in your browser, so the text is never uploaded. Recordings cover this site’s own pages only — never your other tabs, your files, or any other site you visit.
Clarity is operated by Microsoft, which acts as a data controller for what it collects and keeps recordings for up to 30 days. Its handling of that data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
You can opt out. Clarity honours the Global Privacy Control signal, which many browsers and extensions can send on your behalf automatically, and you can opt out of Microsoft’s analytics telemetry directly through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page. Everything on this site works with both tools blocked.
Free tools
Our free tools, such as the WordPress Plugin Risk Report, need no account and ask for no personal details. When you run a scan we store the findings together with a one-way hash of the address you entered, so that scanning the same address again within a day returns the stored report instead of requesting the site a second time. We also store a salted one-way hash of your IP address, which is used only to enforce the per-visitor limit on how many scans can be run. Neither the address you entered nor your IP address is stored in a readable form.
Scan results are private to the person who ran them. A report becomes publicly readable only if you press the button that publishes it, which also makes the scanned domain visible on that page; you can make it private again from the same panel at any time.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us operate the site (for example, our hosting and form-processing providers, and the analytics providers named above), and only to the extent needed to deliver those services.
Data retention
We keep your information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described here or to meet legal requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at zeeshan.sardar@zignites.com.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies: those the site needs to function, and first-party cookies set by the two analytics tools above so that several page views can be recognised as one visit rather than several. We run no advertising on this site. Microsoft sets its own cookies through Clarity, which the opt-out routes above cover. You can also control or clear cookies through your browser settings; nothing on this site stops working if you block them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
